Objectives:

To accelerate development of the dryland, dry bean industry in Saskatchewan by rapid development of an adapted pinto bean variety. To develop and test pinto bean lines that are early maturing, tolerant of cold spring soils, drought tolerant, high yielding, harvestable by direct cutting systems, and marketable.
