Lead Researcher (PI): Ravindra Chibbar
Institution: University of Saskatchewan
Total WGRF Funding: $417,926
Co-Funders: Saskatchewan Winter Cereals Development Commission
Start Date: 2019
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

To introgress genomic regions conferring enhanced winter field survival into elite winter wheat cultivars. To conduct field trials to assess the winter field survival of progeny lines from the RILS and elite winter wheat cultivars/lines. To refine the genetic maps at regions associated with developmental traits affecting winter field survival in wheat and rye.
