Lead Researcher (PI): Kelly Turkington
Institution: Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada
Total WGRF Funding: $112,767
Co-Funders: None
Start Date: 2007
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

To document changes and address the implications occurring in the Fusarium graminearum population in Canada, which until recently was regarded as stable. Results will provide strategies and recommendations relating to the appearance and spread of even more toxigenic Fusarium spp., potential for chemotype changes in the pathogen, and the implications for effective management of new chemotypes via resistance, fungicides, and cultural technologies.
