Lead Researcher (PI): Strydhorst, Sheri
Institution: Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development
Total WGRF Funding: $712,871
Co-Funders: Alberta Barley Commission, Alberta Crop Industry Development Fund, Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions, Alberta Pulse Growers Commission, Alberta Wheat Commission
Start Date: 2014
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

This project will determine the best combination of agronomic practices for producers that ensure maximum crop productivity and profitability. Using a systems approach, approximately 50 different management systems in each wheat and feed barley will be tested to maximize yield, and 15 management systems in field pea to improve harvestability.
